This season, our Art Yard bar team has collaborated with Artist in Residence Imogen Morris to create Wrapping Threads, a signature cocktail inspired by her distinctive nail and thread artworks.
Known for transforming architecture, portraiture and the natural world into intricate contemporary pieces using hundreds of carefully placed nails and threads, Imogen’s work is a study in precision, patience and craftsmanship. The cocktail takes its cue from these qualities, translating her artistic style into a beautifully considered drinking experience.
Created exclusively for Art Yard, Wrapping Threads pairs delicate floral notes with a bright, refreshing sour finish for a beautifully balanced serve. It’s crowned with a striking structural sugar garnish that reflects the geometric lines and layered construction found throughout Imogen’s work, creating a visual connection between the cocktail and the artwork that inspired it.
What makes this collaboration even more special is that the inspiration is just steps away. Art Yard sits alongside our Makers Studio, where guests can watch Imogen creating her latest collection throughout her residency. Enjoy Wrapping Threads before or after your visit to the studio and experience the creative journey from artwork to cocktail.
