Our location on the South Bank also makes getting fresh air and exercise fun. Take a stroll along the river, watch the street performers such as the bubbleoligist or play in the jets of water that make up the Southbank Centre’s ‘Appearing Rooms‘ installation. There’s even a beach! Ernie’s tidal beach on the edge of Oxo Tower and Gabriel’s Wharf is a great spot to run around, or stop to eat an ‘ice cream’.
There’s a great selection of family restaurants, cafes and bars all within walking distance, perfect for when feet need to be rested and thirsts quenched. Art Yard, Bankside’s restaurant has a range of menus to keep stomachs of all sizes satisfied. The two-course kid’s menu, priced at £10, features dishes that appeal to little palates with a splash of colour – an art quiz and lesson in colour theory!
