Bankside Hotel, in partnership with Contemporary Collective and DegreeArt Gallery, is proud to present Gilded Lustre: Illuminating Texture and Tone, a group exhibition that celebrates light, radiance, and the transformative power of materiality.

Bringing together works from leading contemporary artists, Gilded Lustre explores the dialogue between texture, surface, and tone through pieces that shimmer, reflect, and glow. Inspired by the timeless allure of gilded surfaces and the warmth of light as it moves across materials, the exhibition captures both festive brilliance and enduring luminosity, resonating far beyond a single season.

The exhibition in Bankside’s White Box event space will be open to visitors from 30th September 2025 – Early Spring 2026. We invite guests and the community to come by and experience the creativity of these emerging talents.

The Artist

Through paintings, sculptural works, and mixed-media pieces, exhibiting artists Kasia Sifantus, Ottelien Huckin, Victoria Heald, Ernesto Romano, Corinne Natel, and Guglielmo Alfarone explore how the qualities of golds, metallics, and lustrous tones transcend ornamentation. Their practices transform surface and sheen into metaphors for resilience, transformation, and celebration. Together, the works create an immersive environment that reflects the universal allure of light, both physical and symbolic.
