This November, Bankside Hotel x Contemporary Collective welcome back acclaimed British mixed-media artist Kelly Jenkins for a month-long residency that transforms the Art Yard Studio into a vivid celebration of colour, craft, and collaboration. Running from 3–23 November 2025, the showcase sees Jenkins unveil a new body of work created in partnership with NM Design and sofa.com, blurring the boundaries between fine art, design, and interiors.
Known for her unique fusion of embroidery, painting, and abstraction, Jenkins’ practice explores how texture, data, and form can express emotion and movement. Her new pieces are rooted in a tactile language of colour and materiality, reflecting her fascination with the natural world and the rhythm of renewal.
The centrepiece of the residency, a hand-embroidered and painted armchair, embodies Bankside’s creative ethos and celebrates British craftsmanship at its best. Inspired by the River Thames, the design reimagines the river’s journey westward toward Richmond in a fluid, painterly landscape that pays homage to Turner’s romantic vistas.
Visitors can expect an immersive, design-led experience, where every surface tells a story of collaboration, creativity, and contemporary craft. A selection of collectable works will be available to purchase, ranging from £400–£4,500.
Stay tuned for more from this exciting residency via @Contemporary_Collective and @BanksideHotel on Instagram, or visit the Art Yard Studio from 3–23 November 2025 to experience Kelly Jenkins’ latest chapter in colour and craft.
