A home to emerging artists

The studio is run in collaboration with Contemporary Collective, who champion up-and-coming creatives, to bring an ever-changing programme of makers in residence. Residencies are typically two months, during which time the artists use the space to develop their creative process, showcase their work, as well as hosting a range of workshops.

Watch the artists at work

Art Yard Maker’s Studio has an open-house policy, so if you‘re visiting our neighbourhood’s major art galleries, Southbank Centre, Tate Modern or Hayward Gallery why not stop by to see an artist at work.

Current Art Residency: Ken Nwadiogbu

We’re delighted to welcome Ken Nwadiogbu to the Art Yard Makers Studio. A multidisciplinary artist working across painting, sculpture, installation and video, Ken draws on his personal experiences of migration and cultural identity to explore themes of representation, belonging and the complexities of contemporary life.

Visit Ken in the Art Yard Studio from 19 Oct 2026 – 30 November 2026
