Art Yard Makers Studio

A permanent area of the hotel, dedicated to all things craft. Art Yard Studio is a creative space that provides a home to emerging artists, located next to our restaurant Art Yard Bar & Kitchen, guests and passers-by are encouraged to pop in and watch artists practice their creative expertise.

A home to emerging artists

The studio is run in collaboration with Contemporary Collective, who champion up-and-coming creatives, to bring an ever-changing programme of makers in residence. Residencies are typically two months, during which time the artists use the space to develop their creative process, showcase their work, as well as hosting a range of workshops.

Art Yard Maker’s Studio has an open-house policy, so if you‘re visiting our neighbourhood’s major art galleries, Southbank Centre, Tate Modern or Hayward Gallery why not stop by to see an artist at work.

Current Art Residency: Imogen Morris

We’re delighted to welcome Imogen Morris back to the Art Yard Makers Studio for her second Artist in Residence programme. Inspired by London’s iconic landmarks, Imogen will create a new collection of intricate nail and thread artworks, reimagining the city’s architecture in her distinctive contemporary style.
